My oriental boy Cato has been biting my nose since I got him at 10 weeks old.
Like your cat, when he first started doing it, he bit hard enough to graze my skin and make my eyes seriously water but instinctively, I recoiled and said a loud, high pitched ‘ow, no’ and each time he did it I did the same.
Now at 2 years old, he will often sidle up to me, butt my head, give my nose a gentle nibble and then he lifts his upper lip up and pushes his teeth/gums across the end of my nose - right up to his back teeth and finishes this scenario with a little nose lick.
It’s obvious he’s not being vicious because he’s doing his specific and audibly recognisable ‘contented/loved up’ purr rather than just his grooming purr or his solicitation purr.
I too really enjoy these little ‘cats choice’ moments of tenderness between us although, at first it was a bit shocking as I’d had 2 cats before who never went near my conk!
He’s a really funny, quirky guy.
