Mook will go to the extreme of finding a dish towel and covering the bowl.

Mingo does that when he's served something he doesn't like. It's very clear that he's trying to cover it up with litter. I eat in the living room and he frequently checks out whatever I'm eating in the hopes I will let him lick the plate. If he doesn't like my dinner, he tries to cover that up, too.
