Okay, finally figured out how to post those.

The black one is "Patty" who was left behind by some people when they moved away. I took Patty to the vet and discovered the cat was an altered male. That was 20+ years ago, he lived about 19 years.

Paxton is a flame point ragdoll that came from the rescue I mentioned earlier.

I have two purebred cats that I adopted from animal shelters.

One is a traditional seal point Siamese. He was found as a stray by animal control. I adopted him when he was 3 & he is 10 now.

Recently I adopted a white persian. He was an owner give up. He is 5 years old. He was so matted that he had to be shaved.

Purebred cats end up in shelters for the same reason that other cats do - irresponsible owners.

My sister is a perfect example of an irresponsible owner. I cannot count the number of animals she has gotten just to get rid of them a little while later. She even bought a Chihuahua from a pet store. A few weeks later she got rid of it. Explain THAT!?
