Francis, the hero of Akif Pirinçci's "Felidae" series, followed by Joe Grey from Shirley Rousseau Murphy's books. It's probably the mixture of cynicism and unbridled curiosity that I find so attractive.

Oh, I love the movie Felidae! I didn't know it was a book though.

I haven't seen Kiki's Delivery Service in so many years! This has made me want to see it. I enjoyed that cat as well.
