I arrived home tonight, to find my BF burning some CD's on his computer. He seemed totally normal. About an hour later he was on the couch shaking like a leaf, asking if I could bring down a heating pad and turn up the furnace. It was totally warm in my house. He complained that his hands were like ice, however they felt warm.
I knew he had a fever. He said he'd been having some abdomen pain earlier, but that it had subsided. He also had joint pain.
I gave him an Advil which eventually seemed to help. At least he stopped shaking and was able to move from the couch.
We're trying to figure out how he got sick as since Friday night, we have stayed in. He went to his sisters this evening for dinner. Is it possible he caught a flu from his sister's child (who is not sick) so quickly? Does anyone know how fast one starts displaying flu symptoms after you are in contact with the virus?
