I miss my mom. She passed 2 years ago at 78 to Alzheimers. I am her only child.
She was the church organist, and her and I had done weddings and funerals (sang) for many years. There is no harmony like mother and daughter harmony. We were the Judds before the Judds were!
Now, my grand daughter, Abby is carrying on the tradition. Yesterday she had a piano recital at an assisted living facility. Mom would have been so proud. I found myself looking around at the residents there, and from the back, one looked exactly like my mom. For an hour, I pretended it was her. Silly.
Abby wore the locket I gave her ingraved with moms, mine, my daughters and Abbys initials. The tradition continues...
Well, I have faith and maybe somehow, unknown to us, she was there, tapping her foot to the beat, with a proud smile on her face.
