white specks (salt?) in Felidae

I sent them the pics, and got this reply:

Those white specks are part of the vitamin, mineral, and digestive enzyme complex that we add after cooking to ensure that they are not destroyed during the cooking process. We do not add any extra salt to any of the Felidae and Canidae formulas.
