Thanks everyone for posting such lovely pics of your white kitties

I have some questions, I have heard that white kitties are more prone to deafness / blindness than other colour kitties - is this correct and if so why?

Also, do you need to put suncream on their noses and ears?

(Sorry if these are silly questions, but I just had to ask!)

White cats with blue eyes are prone to deafness. I have no idea why, but, this is true. Maybe you can ask one of our genetics experts here... ya know, the ones studying genetics. Like Leli, or Marianjela?

As for the sunscreen... CJ and Billy are indoor cats, so I have no idea.

Well, pretty soon AL will be looking for a home. Well, it'll be a little while, but you sure can fly down here to Florida!

I just had to add my baby Kahu - I know some of youse have seen it before but this is my absolute favourite. Kahu is my little baby boy and he has the sweetest nature even though he is a mischief bag!
