One eye of my 5-mo kitten's been having a small amount of white-ish discharge for the past couple of weeks. It's not watery but mucous and usually dries up after a while. The amount is not excessive in my opinion - I've been removing crusts a few times per day. His other eye's (more watery) discharge dries up into dark brown crust but the crust for this eye is much brighter. He's not squinting and both eyes seem ok to me. Should I take him to a vet or will this be ok as long as the discharge amount is small?

Hi! Kittens are particularly susceptible to colds and other things, which can often affect their eyes. Good for you for keeping it clean!

Is there any chance you could talk to your vet about it?
