I have been thinking about my 3 feral males, Ranger, Hosta and Patches.
I brought the last of the female cats in, in the spring of 09. Slick had 6 kittens shortly after. It was tough, and I found homes for 4 kittens but Slick and her two kids remain with us.
Anyway......shortly after she came in, all the males disappeared. They had been here for a couple of years. Even before Slick showed up. I would see Ranger on the roof of the shed, sunning himself. Hosta, under one of my Hostas waiting for food. Cute little Patches.
There is a guy about 1/2 mile down the road who has given his garage over to all the strays around here. Everytime I go by, there are cats everywhere. We live in a rural area, so cats are really numerous around here.
Do you think my 3 guys made it down there? I tend to think yes, that it is only a stones throw away.
At least, that is what I want to believe.
