When will my queen have her litter?

How sweet! She is a beautiful kitty. Now that she has six kittens, she won't worry so much when you remove one to weigh it. She got upset the first time because it was her only kitten.

I thought so too! I tried again just now (with the scale in the box next to her) and the kitten will cry. Mama gets worried and scruffs the kitten and brings them back to her "pile".

I did get one weight of the brown tabby, which is 116. I'll try again in a little bit.

With 6 there may be a runt or two, so watch to make sure all kittens are latched and nursing.

You'll need to weigh them to be on the safe side and make sure all are gaining. Just do it in front of mom as quickly as you can. Mom will learn that you mean no harm. She will also relax more in the next couple of days.
