She was spayed 10 days ago and is running and jumping and going nuts as usual. She as recovered very well. I use to pick her up and hold her like a baby - like on her back curled in my arms - and scratch her chin and belly and she'd purr like a motor. I've only picked her up twice, holding her four legs between my arms in a lift (if that made sense) so not to put pressure on her belly. I know I can't scratch her belly any time soon but when will it be safe to pick her up again?

It is probably fine now, just be sure to use one hand for her front legs and use your other hand so she can rest her back paws on them, and be gentle.

I would not cradle her just yet, as she may not be ready to be in such a "prone" position.

I got Stella spayed last Wednesday and I've already had to be picking her up.  Kitties are going to get into things and need removing, so I just make sure that I'm gentle and don't touch her belly.  It does not seem to bother her or her incision.
