Tammy Wynette is great too, especially her duet albums with George Jones.
I'm there too. Actually I hate country music. It makes me want to hurt something. Not kidding, It turns something angry inside of me.I really don't care for country music
I LOVE Roger Whittaker's Last Farewell. I didn't even know anyone even remembered that song anymore. It depends on my mood.
I really love Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah. His is the one Leonard Cohen preferred. I read a book on its creation and hallelujah here means more resilient than anything else.
Then there's Simon and Garfunkel's The Boxer and Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Jimmy Buffett's almost anything.
Roger Whittaker's Last Farewell, Old Durham Town and If
Willie Nelson's Stardust and Crazy
Jed Marum doing Chickahominy River
Wow, brings back some memories! I have looked at about 1/4 of them from the bottom up and recognize most of them so far.I really don't care for country music but I do love Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson.
Muffyoh I found a list of 500 country classics for those who like a twang
Classic Country Top 500 Songs of All Time
I recognized half of the songs and others I need to listen to. Enjoy!
Yeah, I pretty much hate it, too, except for a few singers. My mother used to listen to it all day long. UGH!!!!!I'm there too. Actually I hate country music. It makes me want to hurt something. Not kidding, It turns something angry inside of me.
Except John Denver. I could listen to him for hours.
