It depends on my mood.

I really love Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah. His is the one Leonard Cohen preferred. I read a book on its creation and hallelujah here means more resilient than anything else.

Then there's Simon and Garfunkel's The Boxer and Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Jimmy Buffett's almost anything.

Roger Whittaker's Last Farewell, Old Durham Town and If

Willie Nelson's Stardust and Crazy

Jed Marum doing Chickahominy River

I have had a number of favorite songs over the years. My current favorite is Leonard Cohen's last one 'You Want it Darker'. I tend to always gravitate to the darker heavier music as a favorite.

Derks Bentley Settle For a Slowdown

Kenney Chesney One Step Up

my tastes are all over the place.

oh just found this song-love it

Forgot about Restless Heart and Shenandoah and Alabama, Clint Black and Garth Brooks. Willie Nelson of course. I am not too familiar with Merle Haggard but I am listening to it to make up for lost time. My dad only played country music in the 1980s so that's all I pretty much listened to as a teen other than a few soft pop and classic rock groups but I didn't like heavy metal until I was older. An acquired taste.

I think Leonard Cohen is just now really being appreciated. I hadn't heard this song but I like it. Thanks for sharing it.

I can't really pin down one favorite song. There are many songs that I like.

I have always liked the song Hallelujah since I first heard it. I have about 5 different versions of the song on my ipod.

I also really like the song The Wind by Cat Stevens. I first heard it on the show This Is Us and looked it up. I heard it again when I was watching the movie Gifted yesterday. I had never heard of Cat Stevens before. He was apparently popular in the 70's (the decade in which I was born).

Scars by Papa Roach is another good song. I like the acoustic version even better than the original.

I have been listening a lot to the song Life's for the Living by Passenger--kind of an obscure song that most people probably wouldn't be familiar with (at least I don't think so).

I'm not usually a Kesha fan, but I love the song Praying. I heard the song for the first time when she sang it on Jimmy Fallon.

It's Quiet Uptown from the Hamilton soundtrack is constantly being played on my iPod. I like the original and the Kelly Clarkson version. I have never seen the show but love most of the soundtrack.

Be Still by The Fray, This Isn't the End by Owl City, Boston by Augustana, Cruise by Florida Georgia Line, Dying to Live by Edgar Winter, Here's to Us by Halestorm,

(Oops!--posted reply before finished by accident)

How to Save a Life by the Fray, Everything by Passenger, Cannonball by Damien Rice, Can't Help Falling in Love (not just Elvis Presley but many other versions I have heard), Possibility Days by Counting Crows, I Believe by Blessed Union of Souls, I Got You by Leona Lewis, I'm Yours by The Script, 7 years by Lukas Graham, and Lullaby by Creed, Lullaby by Shawn Mullins, and Lullaby by One Voice Children's Choir (don't judge me) are all good songs (at least in my opinion).

I told you I couldn't pick just one song! I"ll stop now.

love alan Jackson drive
I think I have all of AJ's cd's. A while ago, I searched his listings on Amazon and ordered them all. I love the older ones... honky tonky....

Vince Gill has such a melodious voice.. and he is now touring with the Eagles as Glenn Frey's fill-in :sniffle: Replacement is not the correct word, but I do not know what would be the correct word....

also, older Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood... and of course, George Strait!!! The King!
and George Jones...
