If you've ever had polenta you've pretty much had grits. American biscuits are very similar to scones
I know there is a slight difference in grind but I think the main difference between polenta and grits is the restaurant.  Fine dining restaurants serve polenta, casual restaurants serve grits.

I really like polenta, but don't care for grits all that much. Rick would rather have the grits and skip polenta. Go figure. I think it's a texture thing.

I had a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch last night. Not a nutritious value in the world. Not one. But I ate it anyway.

Tuna salad on a "Briegel", which is a local specialty - a long crusty roll made of spelt/dinkel wheat.
