Okay since smokie has been throwing up I brought the water dish upstairs to the kitchen where I could monitor him drink water. And normally he would be there twice a day for a few seconds drinking water.
Now today since I've given him the new antibiotic I've seen him at the water dish about 4 times or so. Not very long probably 20 seconds or so.
The first time he was there about 10 seconds, then after he was there for about another 15 seconds or so but that was after I gave him the anti-biotic. Then for a few hours he was resting around. Then about 12:30 he was there for about another 10-15 seconds drinking. Then 10 minutes later or so he was back drinking for another 10-15 seconds.
Should I be concerned that he's drinking too much water now? I mean the doctor said that his kidney results were normal. So maybe he was a little dehydrated and is starting to feel better so he's drinking more water?
I was giving him canned food to see if it would help his stomach issues but didn't. So could it be the mix of some wet and mostly dry foods? I gave him the last of the wet cat food this morning. But he's also been eating the dry food too.
Or is it because I brought the water bowl upstairs? I've noticed the other cats will drink twice or so during the day.
I'm going to be worrying about him for a while even though I know the doctor said his blood test results were normal.
