I had a first-time crockpot recipe tonight, and it was fantastic!
Cut up a flank steak. Add a can of stewed tomatoes, a diced onion, a diced green pepper, a couple of cloves of garlic, and an envelope of taco seasoning.
Cook about 6 hours or so on low. Serve as fajita meat in tortilla shells with other toppings of your choice.
We had more of the never-ending-chicken-soup. I made it late last week. We had more a couple days later, but Earl added more broth and dumplings. Well, that made too much, so we put it back in the fridge. It's really cold out again tonight (low of something like 27* F), so he wanted soup and grilled cheese. He bought a couple cans of chicken broth and a rotisserie chicken at the grocery and added 1/2 the chicken and more broth and noodles. Of course, now we still have more leftovers, and it's still good since we keep adding to it and reheating on the stove.
We'll be eating this soup all winter!
All of y'alls Thanksgiving dinners sound so yummy! Even if you did forego the turkey (which I just couldn't do - I LOVE roast turkey dinners!!).
