DH got "Upside Down" by Diana Ross (September 24, 1980) Appropriate for being born don't you think? (not that I know the song...I was still 2 years away!)

The sad part of all this is that I actually know all of those songs that have been mentioned, even Running Bear (I really liked that song at the time if I recall correctly). Calcutta by Lawrence Welk was actually a great piece. But one of my all time favourites (that I haven't seen here yet unless I missed it) was Go Away Little Girl by Steve Lawrence, and Your Nose is Gonna Grow by Johnny Crawford. (Johnny Crawford was the boy that played the son Mark in The Rifleman starring Chuck Connors.)

Did I happen to mention that I love playing Trivial Pursuit? LOL

never heard of this one?
old country classic, that one. 'romeo & juliet', basically. lyrics...
"Running Bear"

On the banks of a river
stood Runnin' Bear, young Indian Brave.
On the other side of the water, stood a
lovely Indian maid-------
Little White Dove, was'a her name,
such a lovely sight to see.....
But, their tribes fought with each other,
so their love could never be.

(CHORUS)
Runnin' Bear loved little White Dove
with a love big in the sky......
Runnin' Bear loved little White Dove
with a love that couldn't die!

Runnin' Bear jumped in the water,
Little White Dove did the same.
And, they swam out to each other
through the ragin' stream they came----
as their hands touched and their lips met,
the ragin' river pulled 'em down.
Now, they'll always be together
in that happy hurting ground. "cause.....(CHORUS)...
