The Tomahawk website says they're made in USA and their address is Hazelhurst, WI. It is the only brand I've ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to, but mine are old and still working just fine.

what trap do you use?

I went with the 32" Tomahawk 608FN (with one trap door and one easy release door). Mostly because that's the size I've always used and it fits in the back of my car and in my storage space just right.
I've been using my shiny new 32" Tomahawk trap wired open for feeding for a week now. I set it to trap for the first time this morning and worked like a charm! It's much taller and wider than my old ones, they're 9"x9", and I really like the extra room it give the cat. Peeked in when I got him home and he was sitting up which is something they can't do in my old traps.
