Hello! First off, my apologies if this is the wrong place for this post. I'm not exactly sure what category this would fall under.
Anyways, A local cat rescue group helped hook me up with some free vet care for the semi feral kitten that we took in and are trying to socialise. In return, along with a donation, I want to use my crafting skills to make something for them. I asked what they needed, and they said they would like beds that can fit inside a cat carrier. I can do that! They use a cat carrier inside of a large dog kennel method to help new cats adjust to the facility, so the cat carrier doubles as a comfortable hiding place. It makes sense to have some more cushioning inside.
On further investigation, I realized that I don't know exactly what size that would be! I measured the inside of the one I have, and is 11 x 19 inches. But the one I have I got at a garage sale, and it could very well be a small dog carrier, so I'm not sure if this is a normal size or not.
This leads to my first question; What are the measurements of the inside bottom space of your cat carrier? What is the most commonly used size for cats? What would be a good standard size of bed I should make that will fit well into a majority of car carriers?
Thanks, and I'm looking forward to your input!
