For those that don't know the story, we took in Nala about 2 months ago. She had been left behind by her previous owners when the moved to a new province. She started hanging around our house and my aunt started feeding her. We weren't going to take her in, and tried to find a shelter to take her to, but didn't have any luck. I decided if I could find a place that would over low cost spay, we would take her. One of the shelters I emailed got back to me and I got a voucher to get her first vaccination and spay surgery.
The problem is, she doesn't want to be part of the family! She doesn't get along with my other 3 cats. Poor Ariel is terrified of her, she spends most of her time upstairs in our spare bedroom. Chester is quite leary of her as well, and tries to stear clear. Piper is the only one that stands up to her, but she ends up getting hurt. She has some scratches on her nose and face because of Nala and this isn't the first time. Also, Nala will attack the others for no reason. Like the other day, Chester was asleep in his favourite chair, and she got up and attacked him.
My aunt informed me that my cousin is afraid of her, because of her attacking the others. And I am worried about the other 3, they're all stressed out because of it, and I know being stressed isn't good for them. My aunt said I need to make a decision about what to do with her. I'd really hate to give her up, the poor girl has been abandoned twice in her short life. The thought of giving her up makes me feel so horrible; here she's finally found a home with someone who loves her and pays attention to her (I'm the only one here that does). But at the same time I have to think of the other kitties too. I can't have them stressed out all the time.
What should I do???
