I would have a Turkish Van, they are absolutely adorable little fellows.

I agree with this as well. I don't think reputable breeders are the cause or even add to the pet over population. I also don't think that moggie in the shelter is any more likely to find a home, if there weren't breed specific cats available for people to buy or adopt. I think if a person wants a Persian or a Siamese, that is what they're going to get, if there aren't any available, I think they'll go without a cat, until they can get what they want. So, I don't buy that argument that for every purebred kitten bred, that there is one more at the shelter that has no home. It is more than likely that if there aren't breed specific cats, there is one more home WITHOUT a cat.Originally Posted by urbantigers

Thanks, Golden Kitty! Now I want to make up registry names for my babies, you know, for the Annoying and Insane Cat Registry.Originally Posted by GoldenKitty45
Yes Green Bunny. Most times the registered name really doesn't have anything you can use as the "call name" or whatever you call your cat at home. Most times I picked something to be used for either.
If you register the cat, that's what is printed in the show catalog to identify the cat in the future, on pedigrees, etc. Charlie's 1/2 brother Stradivarious (his registered name) is "Woody" at home or when she's talking about him.
I also agree with this very much from what I have seen.Originally Posted by HopeHacker
