Just our 3 little ones below, but I'd love to have a ton more.....just can't talk Jerry into it.............spoil sport! (if I really wanted more, I'd just go ahead and get them, but I know $$ wise, 3 is our limit for now)
I'm curios about the snake and mice combo - do share please!Originally Posted by quinstar
A similar thread was posted about a year ago, but I wanted to see where everyone was at right now. What else do you provide a home for beside your cat(s).
In addition to Sheba I have a 4.5 foot red-tailed boa constrictor named Stony. He's just a month or so over 1 year old. I also have 3 mice (long story on why I have a snake and mice, I'd be happy to share it though if you want), Squishy, Tawny, and Hershey.
That is my little family as of right now. I've been thinking about possibly getting a bulldog in a year or so, but I haven't made up my mind. Tell us about all of your other darlings.
Well, I normally feed Stony frozen mice, though, when I'm at college, my roomies don't want frozen mice in the freezer. So I have to get live mice. My s/o had to pick up mice for me one day cause I had to work and when he got to the house there was only one mouse in the box. He thought that the pet store messed up and only gave him one, but a few days later he was closing his car door and a little white mouse ran out from under his seat and looked at him. Well, I didn't have the heart to feed the brave little mouse to my snake, so I decided to keep her and named her Squishy. Come to find out a few weeks later, she saw going to be a mommy. She had 10 little pink jelly beans. There was no way I was going to have 11 mice, so when they were old enough I took 8 of them and gave them to a local pet store, but I decided to keep two of the girls so that Squishy would have some friends. Hence, Tawny and Hershey. It's safe to say that they don't live in the same room as Stony.Originally Posted by Anne

Wow - that sounds cool! Are they cold water or warm water creatures? Will they fit in a cold water aquarium with goldfish? how do they help the ecosystem?Originally Posted by DiMa
Ok...we just added 3 new residents: Spook, Casper and Shrimp. Three ghost shrimp to help the ecosystem of the fish tanks. I fed them some frozen (thawed) blood worms and they sucked them up like spaghetti. And because their wee bodies are transparent, you could see the bright red go all the way through them! Cool!
Here's a page I found with some info on them that will answer your questions better than I canOriginally Posted by Anne
