What on earth is a cat like this doing here?

No one around here will fully appreciate his beauty. People in this area prefer moggies because they are hardier, sturdier, & have fewer genetic problems(or so they believe

). He belongs somewhere else, in a cattery, or in a home as a beloved pet. I just don't see a Persian(esp. if he has papers) in a HS, particularly around here.

As a side not, it says he is housetrained & there is no mention of being neutered or UTD on shots. He is new to the HS & they are still waiting for a vet confirmation before they start saying he is neutered/UTD on shots. I hope that he isn't declawed.

You'd be amazed, in the almost 3 years I've been at our shelter, we've had 2 differnt persians. One all white, surrended with another cat because the owner was taking allergy meds, but developed a heart condition that prevented him from taking them any more. The other a beautiful silver smoke persian with copper eyes, owned by an elderly couple who both ended up passing away.
