Smudge, being a calico, was either going to be named Smudge or Smock, so we compromised for Smudgie Smock, but called her Smudge. That morphed into "Smudgie Smockers", and somehow into "Mocker". Now, unless I'm mad at her and use her real name in my mommy voice, I call her "Mocker", or "Mocka Mockers". The sweeter the voice I use, the more she loves it.
Cajun is "Secret Cajun Man" or "Cay-jone Buh-dee" when he's feeling French. (As I'm whispering it to myself wondering how to spell it he's looking at me weird)
Emily is "Quit chewing that string you little S*#t!" or "Emmies" when she's being good, which is hardly ever.
Elessar is "Willie" because my downstairs neighbor can't say Elessar and named him Willie.
Cubby has been "Cubina" or "Cubby Jane", but mostly Cubby, usually in a weird voice.
Bob and Timmy I haven't had long enough to morph. Pedro's name was Puppers from his previous owner, but it didn't stick, and Rain's name is Rainy Day, but I call her Rain. That somehow morphed into "Rain-Bert" and sometimes I just call her "Bert" or "Bert-Bert". Where that came from I'll never know, and the other one I pulled out of nowhere is "Booty-Boot" or just "Booty". What is wrong with me? God, help my human kids someday!!! P.S. I forgot to mention that all my animals prefer their names, and anything else I say, sung to them. I don't know why, cuz I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but they just love it.

Her given name is Miss Kitty the princess( I was 8 when I got her) she never ever responded to this name my Dad gave her the name chi chi very early because as a kitten she was just a big ball of fur & she reminded him of a chia pet

beanhead- when she is really goofy and frisky
