Does anyone else, besides me, love to read people's blogs? I love finding new blogs and especially if I find one I love, reading the whole thing beginning to end. I often bookmark tips or recipes that I find and think I would like to try or will come in handy in the future.

Some of my favorites are:

Recipes, Homeschooling, and various other stuff
The Pioneer Woman

A blog written by a mother about her experiences in parenting
Navigating the Mothership

A sewing blog
Sew Mama Sew

Another sewing/quilting blog
House on Hill Road

A quilting blog that I LOVE
Crazy Mom Quilts

A homesteading blog
New Life on a Homestead

A mother's blog about life with a son that has down syndrome
Praying for Parker

Recipes
My Tasty Treasures

What are some of your favorite blogs? Care to share?

I love blogs too. I love reading people's stories.

Did you ever see the movie Julia and Julia? Well, Julie Powell's original blog (on which her book and later the movie was based on) was freakin' hilarious. Her language was appalling and that made the blog very funny. The bad language was cleaned up for the movie and book.

3fatchicks.com has some interesting blogs. I am not fat, but I enjoy reading about people struggling with weight issues.

MelissaCMorris.com is a website and blog of a rich young lady who lives in Manhattan and in New Canaan, CT. I'd like to hate her, but I just can't!

Frank the Tank on TCS has an amusing blog about life with her blind cat, Billy. She writes well though she hasn't blogged for a while.

Will check out your blogs later.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
I use Google Reader to keep up with my blogs, since I don't have the time or patience to remember which ones I need to check out, lol.

Bakerella - http://www.bakerella.com/
Cake Wrecks - http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/
Dear Author (Romance novel review site, LOVE IT!) - http://dearauthor.com/wordpress/
Ilona Andrews (Urban Fantasy writing team, husband and wife) - http://www.ilona-andrews.com/blog/
Sweetopia - http://sweetopia.net/
Temerity Jane (she's neurotic and hilarious) - http://temerity-jane.com/
The Pioneer Woman - http://thepioneerwoman.com/
WoW Insider - http://wow.joystiq.com/

When my new cake decorating website is up, it'll have a blog section to it. I already have about 20 topics figured out, I just need to write them all.
I think I have about 3-4 written, but hoping DH will take a look and tell me what he thinks.

I don't have a favorite blog. Most that I've looked at don't keep them up. Sometimes I think that I would like to have one for me to say the things I can't say.

However, I have a number of You Tube channels that I regularly look at. Some are just people others do crafts or cooking. My channel has movies of my kitty.

And I follow a couple of cats on Twitter. I recently let Chester take over that too.

I'm wondering if this is different? It's like asking - what's your favorite website (apart from TCS!). ??? In this instance, isn't it more like the rules re: posting links to appropriate content?

Here we go. There are younger folks here on TCS or potentially broswing TCS and there is no way that TCS can moderate all the information posted in the links
Thanks for the link. It seems that not all blogs are off limits, just "MySpace" and similar type ones, which I guess would include Face Book.

This is from the first post in that thread above

We had an announcement on this some time last year, but it's time to make a new thread for it. Myspace, blogs and other similar links aren't allowed in posts. Instead, you can post in this thread welcoming other members to pm you their personal links.
But it doesn't seem to apply to people just setting up their own blog site to post pictures and blog about their life.

I think the issue is access to other content via personal links being shared. That's why I think sharing "what's your favorite blog" is probably not inappropriate per se, but subject to rules re: posting links to places with appropriate content, this being a site where children may click on the links.

....but now I don't know whether to go ahead and post the links or not.

I only have one blog that I read. It's absolutely NOT politically correct, and the language is really rather foul...but I find it hysterically funny, and I'm totally addicted. I'd probably be kicked off the board if I posted a link.

Seems like a matter of common sense. Posting the link to a quilting blog is not exactly the same as posting a link to a bondage blog!

True. Plus I've seen Anne post links to her blog to show us pictures. So not all blogs are disallowed. I would think that so long as it's a "G" rated one that is set up on it's own site and not on a friend finder site like Face Book, My Space etc, that they would be allowed.

I read a couple and check them for updates. My fave is SteamMeUpKid, who is very much not politically correct but I find her hilarious.

Well then I'm game!
The last time this question was asked, blogging was something I didn't really pay much attention to. It still isn't, because I spend most of my time online working or on TCS - or doing cat-related research.

So I have three favorite blogs.

One, of course, is hissy's. http://www.feralcatbehavior.com/

The other is a journalist who is debunking cat predation "research" and anti-TNR "research" and does an absolutely AMAZING job: http://www.voxfelina.com/

...and the last is a blog by an economist friend of ours. It's been wonderful watching his blog grow from day one to one of the most frequently read economic blogs on the web.

I love this one ladys blog.

www.crochet-mania.blogspot.com

I looked up left handed crocheting videos on YouTube and this ladys tutorials single handedly taught me how to crochet. So I bookmarked her blog so I had easy access to more tips and tricks for lefties and also some really neat patterns. The first thing I made was using her video for the wide headband.
