Hi, my three year old female cat was spayed around 6 weeks ago and everything healed nicely, however, as I was petting her this evening, I noticed that there was a blue plasticy knot protruding from where the surgery site was. Can anyone tell me what this could be? Is it stitches from beneath the skin? I’ve attached a photo to aid.

It's possible it's a stitch that they missed if she had stitches that needed to be removed. If she didn't have stitches that needed to be removed, then it's an internal stitch that hasn't dissolved. I would call the clinic in the morning and ask how to proceed.

She had internal dissolving stitches that didn’t need to be removed, that’s what I was concerned. I plan on calling the vet first thing in the morning. Thank you for your help
