hey guys - my Persian kitty is starting to worry me - about a week ago I noticed some white in his eyes from certain angles now it’s growing and his eyes just don’t look healthy - behavioral wise I can tell he can still see and plays just the same with my other Persian kitty who’s super healthy - what’s happening to him?

Is the discharge normal for him? I would definitely recommend talking to your vet, maybe even ask if you can send them a picture if they’ll do phone advice?

Welcome to TCS! :wave3: I'm sorry that your adorable Persian kitty is having a health problem and glad you will be taking him to the vet today. I thought this Article may be helpful for you: Eye Problems In Cats: What Every Owner Needs To Know

Our first Persian had a problem with his eye and the vet recommended bringing him to a veterinary ophthamology specialist. Although heredity can play a role there are also health problems related to eye injuries and infections.

Best of luck, please keep us posted on your cat after your vet appointment. :alright:

It could be cataracts. especially with a older cat. I had a cat that his pupils turned white with an eye infection, they turned back once he was treated with antibiotics. Definitely post us when you have him checked out. This is something you don't want to mess with.
