I need help finding the best cat food for my 5 cats. Until recently I was under the illusion the Iams dry original cat food was the best food for my cats. Under another thread I saw that wet food is better for cats and Iams isn't the greatest food. I am going to list my cats and thier age/wt. Then I am asking anyone who can help, to advise me as to the best food for each one. Also, I have read that people who feed wet food leave out some dry so I need to know the best dry food and how much to leave out. I know I am asking alot from you, but everywhere I have looked up on the internet has led me to be very confused and I have faith someone here can help me. I just want to give my cats the best. Now, here are the cats info:
- Taboo, 17, and underwieght. She is a longhaired Maine coon mix. She eats alot when given wet food but I rarely see her eating dry food. She also begs for food as if she is starving. Yes, she has been vet checked.
- Rufas, 16, and a big orange tabby. He is a bit overwieght but the vet says he is also just meant to be a big cat. He is not a big eater. When Taboo gets her morning wet food, no one else gets it, He will go to her food and lick it, showing he is alpha, but he just walks away afterward.
- Molly, 7, Short haired tuxedo pig. Very overwieght and never stops eating. Vet checked her out and she is otherwise fine. She tries to steal Taboo's food so I have to stand there until Taboo is done. Sometimes she eats so much and then throws up. She is an active happy cat otherwise.
- Gohan, 1 1/2, Munchkin. He is healthy and solid. He has alot of muscle. He likes to try and steal Taboo's food to. He doesn't seem to overeat but he can't afford to put on any wieght.
- Kagome, 1 1/3, Munchkin/Exotic mix. She is aloof when it comes to eating. She is a real princess! She is healthy and very active. I don't think she would become overwieght with cuurent diet. She just to dainty.
