Hi,

not sure if this is the right place to put this but im in the process of getting olly some pet insurance its asking for a breed i know hes a cross breed but is there a technical term for it if you know what i mean?? he will be going outside is he classed as moggie or is he a domestic short hair?? heres a pic hope you can help??

He is a large handsome boy! 'Red tabby DSH' is much more dignified than 'moggie', though I often call my lot that.

Moggy/moggie and domestic mean the same thing, it seems we use moggie in Australia and I think Europe while the US seems to say domestic.

Cross breed is really not correct since most domestics are not a mix of pedigree cats.

thank you everyone i got him insured today (weight off my mind) put him as a domestic short hair.

He's a gorgeous red tabby (those describe his color and his markings, respectively). His breed, as already pointed out is simply "domestic short hair."
