What iPod should I get?

I know nothing about them!

All I want it for is to buy song downloads and use the iPod through my car stereo. I don't think I will use it with the ear buds; I can't bear to have anything in my ears. I just want to eliminate CDS all over the car!

DH has one, but he doesn't know the info about his (how many GBs, for example). 

How many GBs would you recommend, and what type of iPod? Thanks!

Well, Im going to tell you that if you want to get rid of all your CD's GET A ZUNE HD!!!!!!!!!! You can get a 64GB Zune HD for FAR cheaper than a 64GB Ipod touch. Music takes up a ton of space pretty quick, so you should get a 64GB Zune HD.  Don't think apple is the best just because they have those fancy commercials and all their other fancy looking OVERPRICED products. Zune HD may have a screen thats just a smidge smaller, but the display is 100% better than Ipod, the sound is clearer and Zune HD's are MUCH faster.
