What I made for dinner tonight!

I'd be willing to try it, but only because I'm a true soup, chili, and casserole lover and realize that the best tasting ones don't always look the prettiest.
Just put it in a pretty bowl for Jerry with a sprinkle of cheese and a sprig of parsley or something. That makes everything prettier.

I bet it really did taste good... It is true that soups and stews don't always come out looking as good as they taste. I bet that's why restaurants always work on the presentation of them.
If Jerry closes his eyes, I think he will do just fine!

I actually found that recipe once when I was trying to make chicken chili. When I was in the grocery store I remember not knowing what beans were "white beans". I think that was how the recipe described them.

I was the same way.....it did call for "white beans". I looked and looked at all the beans and finally picked up a can, and low and behold, there was the recipe on the back of the can, so I knew I had the right beans!

I understand about soups and stews and all those conglomeration dishes -- they often defy any attempt to make them look wonderful, but they sure taste good, when all those flavours get in there and talk to each other for a while!
