One of the new smilies Deb uploaded the other day reminded me of being a kid. When I was about 4 or 5, my middle sister and I used to do silly things. One of them was spin around like this
until we both got really dizzy. Then we'd stop and try to walk around.
It had a name too. We called it "Nobwa!"
I also had another favorite game around that time I called "Numba!" (pronounced Num-ba) I'd stand on top of the arm of the "chesterfield" (couch/sofa) and then fall backwards onto the cusions. Every time you did it you had to keep your legs straight and say "Numbaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!" We always got into trouble for playing it.
I remember not being able to understand why our mom didn't want us to play it because it was so much fun!
Another crazy game I made up (in my twenties) was a "trust me" type game with driving. The person in the driver's seat operates the gas and brake while the passenger operates the steering wheel. The trick here is that the person in the driver's seat has to close their eyes and listen to the instructions of the passenger on gas and brake pressure. I liked to play that game with girlfriends, but it drove them nuts when I'd switch to be the passenger. Some of them refused to play entirely. I wonder why?
So, what silly games and antics did you make up as a child?
