A friend is dating a guy she doesn't really like but he has money keeps asking me what i think of him. Should I be honest and tell her what I think of HER???
I completely agree with that.Oy, tricky one there. I think you should be honest but not nasty about it. I mean she is your friend, right? Just tell her that what is important is not what you think of him, but what she thinks of him. If she's told you she doesn't like him, which it seems like she has, ask her point blank why she is with him if she doesn't like him. If she says the money, you can say something like, "Look, if it was me, money wouldn't be enough to make me sacrifice my time and energy to be with someone I didn't like. I mean, that doesn't strike you as a little shallow?" But I wouldn't, like, start calling her a golddigger or anything, that'd be kind of mean. You can also lay it on a little thick, and be like, you're a wonderful person, blah blah blah, so why would you let someone buy you off like that?
I have to agree with you all, but it's hard. She is my office manager, but a good friend too. Our office is a two girl office, so I have to work with her on a daily basis. I would love to tell her what i think, but I dont' want to cause tension between us.........Originally Posted by mamacat

Yeah... I've always believed that a true friend would offer me honesty rather then spared feelings.Originally Posted by kittylover4ever

oooh... rock and hard place.... I personally would be honest. I have a very hard time lying to people. I find myself saying more then I mean to all the time, and sometimes hurting others' feelings on the way. So far I've had good luck, and my friends have all gotten used to the way I am. They understand that I speak my mind, say what I think while I am thinking it... good and bad quality. I am still trying to learn to hold my tongue.Originally Posted by kittylover4ever
