Unless you buy a purebred cat with pedigree papers, any other cat is classified as a Domestic (fur length) hair.
Cats haven't been domesticated and selectively bred as long as dogs. This is why when you look at a dog, you can have some info into it's breed/background just by looking at it.
But with cats, there is just no way of knowing what kind of genetics they have, as most are just random bred. SOMETIMES there is a hint of a specific breed that you can see, but this is rare.
