Traits:
1. Big round head (though actually it is more trapizoidal, with fatter cheeks at the bottom and narrowing slightly at the top), round yellow eyes, short but small nose.
2. No meowing...only chirps and other silly noises, and he used to be totally quiet but my other cat is a talker and he seems to have picked up on that.
3. He is large, with a big stocky body...although not as cobby as a BSH, and is not overweight. He weighs almost 13lbs (12lbs13oz) at 11months. You can feel his ribs, spine and hips...he does have a belly pouch but it is not fatty.
4. He has a thick double coat and Ignoring the white on him... he is blue, but the longer guard hairs are agouti (variegated...dark gray and light gray along each hair shaft) and the undercoat is wooly, light gray and a little wavy or crimped. His face and legs (areas with shorter hair) also have silver tips.
5. You can still see the ghost tabby markings on his tail, but as a kitten, he actually had spotted tabby ghost markings on his sides (very clear spots), so the variegated coloring on his hairs now is not ticked tabby)
I've read a lot of these traits (coat color/type, head, body and belly pouch, lack of meow) are that of a Chartreux, so I've kind of called him a Chartreux look -a-like even though he has the white. I know he is not one, he is a DSH, but it is fun comparing traits.
