I think he just sounds like a rambunctious kitten. I would doubt there is any pedigree, just his own kind of quirkiness. He should mellow a bit in time. Is he neutered? If not this could also calm him down.
'Thanks Stefanz. I did post a "book" on what his character is like but the words didnt show up. (well, i dont think they did) Its what he does that puzzles me- Hence the photos of him. I will write them here
Despite his pretty looks (Fat Bob) has one hell of a boisterous, Naughty personality! He is 6 months 10 days old. His personality is totally the opposite to my girl cat -Tip. She is 4 years old and is a Maine Coon X - clever, playful almost to the point where she will vandalise important papers and she is comical and understands many words that are spoken to her - she even sits down and looks up at me when I speak to her but she has a quiet and calm personality. She does not like water to play with (she is half Maine Coon) ...
Fat Bob (my kitten loves water) He would put both his front legs) (and I mean Both front LEGS) into the water bowl until he touched the bottom of the bowl and then would drink the water or he would swipe the water a few times with his paw and then lick the water from his paw. The water bowl outside the house has been turned over a few times and we are assuming it is Fat Bob.
I am now closing the bathroom door because if the door is not shut tightly, he will push on the door with his paws and if the door moves he knows he can open it and will use his head to push the door open and then he will head straight for the bath tub and jump into it (empty thank goodness) - and run up and down the bath tub and play in it.
However, its the hand basin thats the issue and (the reason to why I keep the door shut). The tap (faucet) is leaking. It is not dripping, it is slowly flowing out into the basin. Fat Bob sits in the basin while the water is flowing and he will play in it. He has put his head down under the tap (faucet) and the water has poured over his ears, then he will look at it with excitement and swipe it with his paws and then lick off the water.
3. I think hes aggressive. He stalks. When Tip is eating, cleaning herself or even sleeping .. he will stalk or sneak up on her and give her a swipe with his paw and although she is mild mannered, after a while of him being annoying - Tip will give him a big swipe and a growl and then he will look at her, turn his head away from her then make a strange sounding half purr/meow/chirp sound and walk away! He only does this to her when she is not taking notice of him.
4. He jumps up on the kitchen and table surfaces. He knows he is not to do it but when he thinks we aren't near him or can't see him- he will jump back up on the surfaces again. He is naughty!
5. He attacks any garment that is hanging over a chair and if you happen to walk by him if he is under the chair he will swipe and bite you. Which brings me to the finale....
6. He bites. He has been tapped on the nose for biting my partners hand. He doesn't do that anymore to my partner. As for me, well, I think he plays ignorant. I talk sternly to him and have tapped him on his nose.. but my goodness- you should see his eyes! They remind me of a snake..(we dont have snakes in my country but I watch nature/animal programmes and I have seen snakes when in Australia at their zoo- ( not out in the wild thank goodness) .. but yes - Fat Bob's eyes go slanted and his ears go back- AND this is what he does when we play - Tug- Of- War.
Ever since he was 3 months old.. he would " latch" on with his mouth -to any material be it a bath towel or a blanket, sweater etc and his teeth are clenched shut and his head will go from side to side.. Just like a DOG with a rag in its mouth and you are pulling at the other end of it trying to take it off him - the garment is tight.. he is at one end and im at the other .. and so not to hurt him.. i let the garment go and sometimes he slowly walks off with it in his mouth.. dragging it along the floor behind him.. just like a dog. He sometimes straddles it and goes around and around in circles until it all gathered beneath him. Believe me, it is the most crazy experience I have ever encountered in all the years I have ever owned cats - non pedigree with the exception of Tip who is half Maine Coon.. none of my cats have ever done what Fat Bob is doing now,.
What do you think? Does he have any type of pedigree or is he a species of his own? LOL. Thanks
Just to add.. lol I got him when he was 3 months old - he was a rescued kitten. I actually do not know his origins.
