This is something Jcat asked in the April Fools thread, and it got me so interested I guess we ought to discuss this. Have any of you folks got some plans for the future?
So far, I am not totally sure on what should I study... I have been mostly convinced of studying history... although I can't decide on what field... like them all.
I guess I would most probably study in Spain, most probably in the Autonomous University of Madrid or in Seville. They are better than American universities when it comes to history.
Now, in Spain there is no such thing as bachelors degree. There is a "Licenciatura" which is the Bachelors degree and Masters rolled up into one and double as difficult.
What shall I do after that... I am not totally sure.. I guess the most appropiate thing would be to settle down a while in Academia in order to start doing the doctorate.
Afterwards... power struggle?
Even in Academia there are such... so if somebody is near me as rector or academic of the tongue or anything like that... he better glue himself to the chair!
Unfortunately many of the things I think about studying are the kind of stuff that will get you as much money in PR as ice fishing (ever heard of ice fishing in Puerto Rico?) so I guess I will have to get abroad.
But to be truthful... I sometimes wonder if this is just too modest for my power thirst tastes.
