Wetfood and Worms

Hi, I’m new here. I have a question. I always heard that wetfood and canned food can cause worms in cat and kitten, is it true?

I have never heard of that. More likely to see bugs in dry food

No. I've NEVER heard of that. Most worms are passed on from the mother. Also, if someone is outside and walks across grass or dirt containing worm eggs, they can bring them in the house and infect the cat. That is probably the most common cause of worms in indoor cats.

Canned food is sterile, packaged at a very high temperature. Worms wouldn't be able to live in it .
