My apartment isn't very well insulated. Since I'm gone during the day, I don't bother keeping the living room/kitchen area warm (which would be expensive anyway, with vaulted ceilings). When I need to be in there, I use a small portable heater. The bedrooms I keep warmer--between 68 and 72. Even so, my heating bill last month was $150! Regardless, the cats can always sleep in the warmer bedroom if they get tired of being cold.Originally Posted by lunasmom
