I was reading a little about this brand causing diarrhea and I think it's messing my 9 week old up..
I fostered him since he was 10 days old and just officially adopted him Saturday. He came home from his neuter Friday with mild pneumonia and he is on clavamox. I'm aware clavamox can really mess up the GI tract but he was having diarrhea before this. I thought maybe he's still getting used to food because he was weaned a few weeks before that off formula but I think it's safe to say he is another wellness victim? I believe he was eating dry food and friskies at the vet while he recovered for 24 hours. He came home not wanting food at all that evening or the next day. And it's rare for him because he was the best eater out of his litter up until the neuter!
What really bothered me is his vet suggested a prescription kitten food for GI issues (dry food). I feel she is right it may stop diarrhea but I really dont want to give my kitten any crappy food and that includes dry food full of corn, soy, wheat etc. She is a humane society vet this was all free of charge and the big baggie of food but I don't feel comfortable putting him on crap food in hopes it will help. He likes Instinct Kitten pate right now.. has anyone had success with that food? I also have Fancy Feast naturals. He gets RX Clay now every day and pumpkin for diarrhea. And a proviable. I'm really hoping it was just the Wellness causing all of this but now because of the clavamox I feel it will be hard to tell
