My 6 month old kittens went in to the vet this morning to get neutered. The vet just called to say everything went fine, HOWEVER, one of my kittens (Nigel) won't be getting his adult canine teeth in.
He lost all 4 canines about 2 months ago and the vet said that he must have just lost them early. Well, Nigel saw a different vet today and he was curious because his lower jaw seemed more narrow than normal (he's still a cutey though
) and he didn't see any adult teeth buds coming through yet. He did an x-ray and did not see any tooth structure there.
I have never heard of this. The vet did assure me there would not be any complications from this. It's mainly just cosmetic now.
It's just so weird that I had to share with others.
