So today I spotted a strange thing on a cat's belly and was wondering what it was. If you touch it the cat gets distressed and it doesn't seem to be strongly fixed to the skin. Pictures give an idea, it almost looks like a maggot, but the cat stays inside and it's in Germany...So I'm not sure. If anyone has any idea what it could be I'd love to hear about it.

It's too large to be a nipple. It's not firmly attached to the skin but bothers the cat when you try to pull it? Can you email the pictures to your vet?

I touched it and it sort of came out like that. Before one could only see the darker part. Plus it's close to it's "armpit" and doesn't seem fleshy to me. I doubt it's a nipple.

Sadly not, but I'll make sure to organise a visit asap.

Even just touching it really, the cat obviously doesn't want it to be touched
