So I am curious -- one of my adult female cats likes to stick her nose inches away from the light bulb in a lamp on a table. The lamp has no light covering so when she sticks her nose toward the light, she is merely inches away from the actual light bulb. Why does she do this?

Never heard of that, but maybe it is the heat? Cats will seek out and lie in a spot of highly focused sunlight, getting quite hot, in happy langor. I don't use a space heater anymore, but I recall one cat liked to get close enough to make me uncomfortable.

That could very well be the issue. She likes the heat, I guess. It freaks me out to see her nosing the light bulb lol
