I finally managed to get my girls into a show since work had a stranglehold on me.

Treasure got her Champion (even if she wasn't happy about it) and Trinket got a 9th best kitten.

Treasure (18 months) trying to decide if she was going to cooperate with me after the fourth ring (by three, she'd had enough)

Trinket (6th months) not the least bit interested in staying still while I'm fluffing her tail

Congratulations, hopefully you can keep showing the kittens - it's generally easier to start them young.

Thanks.

I'd wanted to start Treasure when she was a baby, but the project I was on took up most weekends. Trinket on the other hand wasn't self assured, but was incredibly curious about everything.

My next local CFA show is the first weekend in January so I'm going to do lots of socilaization with Treasure over the coming weekends - Petco here we come with a fully harnessed kitty!

I'm incredibly fortunate to have a mentor who's been breeding and showing Wegies for eighteen years, give or take; and she lives ~10 minutes away so when I finally breed Treasure she'll be right there to help me every step of the way.

Socialising will certainly help, good luck for your next show

Wonderful you've got a mentor, really is key having someone to call on. I still bug mine all the time
