true..although we did go to the states for a weekend and managed to get stuck there (thief river falls)...
for an extra day because his car stalled..
then we couldn't drive any faster then 40 km/hr...
it would shake...good thing it was only $90 us to fix..cause any more then that..
we'd have to find another way home..

This brought back a funny memory.
When I was in high school (in the 70's), my bf at the time had an old Voltzwagen Beetle. He "repaired" the emergency brake with an elastic band.
The car needed to be jump started, but he refused to let me push. I sat in the car while he pushed the car and jumped in. Once he ran over his own foot.
Poor guy.

BTW, I tried to get to page 2 of this thread earlier, but it wouldn't let me. Then there was no page 2. Its back to normal now...or is it just me losing my mind?
