The fluid is really accumulating in his body and his breathing is sounding more congested. He will be exactly 9 1/2 months tomorrow and also will have been here for exactly 2 months (we got him February 1).
I told mother (since she sleeps with him) if he starts to 'crash' in the middle of the night to let me know so we can take him to the ER. I really hate for it to get to that point since I've already been drained of most of my vacation money, but I can't let him suffer. If he doesn't go downhill too quickly, we will take him in the morning to the regular vet.
I can't tell you just how sorry I am for your kitty, you, and your mom for going through this. It breaks my heart and brings tears to my eyes. You are doing the best for your baby. I will keep you all in my prayers. Please give Mons hugs from me and my girls.
I'm so so sorry. My heart goes out to you. I know how much this hurts.
Many tears for your precious baby and gentle comforting hugs to you and your mom.
I am so very sorry to hear about Mons. I really am not too savvy using this site and can't find any of your previous threads so I don't know what caused your little friend to get sick. I lost my cat, Spot, 6 weeks ago to fluid (chylousperitonium) and wondered if your case was the same. Whatever the cause nothing makes it any easier. Give him a kiss and hug for me and Beeba, Spot's son. Take comfort that he had a safe and happy life with you. We can't give them any more than that plus a lot of love.
We took him this morning. We took turns holding him before and after. The vet gave the shot while Mom was holding him in her arms. He was such a special kitty.
