well, i've heard of straining, crying, low pee volume & blood in the urine being symptoms of a UTI...you can read more about them here.

I would say that he his demonstrating possessive/dominant behavior? Maybe try to keep jackets, etc..off the floor or chairs so he can't pee on them, see if that works.

Nope, no accidents, I put everyone's coats in our bedroom and shut the door. He had a lot of fun with John's little sister, who is 4, they played all night, and he was so good with her....no peeing accidents!!!
