The vet tested the last two kittens for FIV and FELV today. When I arrived for my afternoon playing with kittens session they were running around on the floor with the gray and white, other black and white, the two older gray with stripes, and the resident cats. Just the tabby / white male and tabico girl I'm working with were still caged.
"Lend me a carrier," I said, "and I'll take him home today." They did, and I did. (But I did phone home and give my husband a heads up - even asked if he wanted to meet the kitten first. Thoughtful, aren't I. But he said to just bring him home. Guess that's called accepting the inevitable.)
Though younger, since he's from the same colony as Mr. Poe they're probably half-brothers. Can't believe how much bigger Mr. Poe looks!
As you can see he's black and white, with some frosted looking individual white hairs in the major black patches on his back and sides.
Let him out in the guest bedroom and Mr. Poe started chirping to him. They sniffed noses and I think all will be well. What Mist will think when I turn them loose on Sunday I have no idea.
So we're back to needing names again, just for a different kitten.
