What a precious little girl. Y'know, the fire crew just down the street from us came out here three times for my father. On one of those occasions, he would not have survived another ten minutes without them. On another, he was adamant that he was not going to the hospital, and they patiently worked for over an hour to persuade him that it really was necessary. They could have just used force -- we had medical power of attorney -- but they took the time to treat him with respect.

When my father's book comes out this fall, we're going to take them a copy of it with a letter of appreciation... and brownies sound like a real good idea, too.
